CIRCLE OF FLIGHT is a circular composition of rhythmic movement and simple folded bird abstractions in copper. It is approximately 8 foot in diameter and has a considerable amount of 22 K gold leaf applied to its surface. It has also been polished and lacquered and is suspended on stainless steel cables to float in front of an architectural circular detail in the front focal point area of the Panama City Beach, Florida International airport. It is relatively lightweight and maintenance free and an attractive accent to the entrance area of the airport while relating strongly to additional copper sculpture in the Departure area ( SKYSCAPE) and the theme of 'Flight'. |
